At MMH Men’s Mental Health, we’re proud to support people who go above and beyond to make a difference — not just in men’s mental health, but in the wellbeing of entire communities. One of those people is Puffa Jones, a cyclist, father, grandfather, and community hero based in Newport, Wales.
Pedalling a Purpose
Puffa’s mission is simple but powerful: get free recycled bikes into the hands of deserving kids in need. Through his Free Bikes 4 Kids project, he collects donated bikes, restores them, and gives them away — because, as he says, “every child should own a bike.”
His work does more than just help children — it fosters confidence, physical activity, independence, and even family connection. And the ripple effect of that positivity reaches deep into the community.
Why MMH Supports This Project
Mental health is often shaped by the environments we grow up in. That’s why initiatives like Puffa’s — which offer children the chance to play, explore, and grow — are crucial. They contribute to emotional resilience, movement, and self-worth, all of which are linked to long-term wellbeing.
How You Can Help
This is a grassroots project powered by the determination of one man and the support of those who believe in what he’s doing. MMH has donated to the cause and we’re encouraging others to do the same.
💬 “It’s not about the cost of a bike — it’s about giving a child freedom, confidence, and joy.”
You can support Puffa Jones and Free Bikes 4 Kids by sharing, donating, or reaching out to offer bikes or parts.
